The Fresno Sizzler closed for a month. Now it’s back and celebrating with freebies
The Fresno Sizzler was closed for a little more than a month while it was remodeled. Now it’s reopen and planning to celebrate. SPECIAL TO THE BEE Sizzler.
Sizzler is back.
The chain restaurant that’s a Fresno favorite closed for a little over a month, starting in mid-October for remodeling. It reopened Nov. 17.
The West Shaw Avenue location is the second in the company — which has more than 80 locations in eight Western states and Thailand — to be remodeled.
It now has an updated dining room with revamped booths, electronic menu boards and improved acoustics.
Sizzler also upgraded its salad bar and dessert bar, adding fresh-baked brownies and improving its ice cream topping station.
FREEBIES
The steakhouse will celebrate with a grand opening 11 a.m. to 3 p.m Thursday, Dec. 7, at 3121 W. Shaw Ave.
The event will feature performances by Edison High School’s marching band, choir and folklórico dance group. The Bullard High School mariachi band will also perform.
There will be giveaways of Sizzler merchandise, face painting, and donations to the local community.
